Works great, but the instructions on the retail package I received were out of date.
I like the OBiWIFI adaptor and it works great so far. I'm using it via an external USB Hub because I got the OBiBT (Bluetooth) adaptor at the same time. Both work as I'd hoped. But the instructions on the box are out of date. Basically, after you plug the OBiWIFI into the usb port on your OBi200/202/1032 box, it becomes it's own wifi hotspot that you can find in your nearby wifi network called "OBiWIFI_Setup". Once you join the hotspot, you'll find the configuration page on 192.168.10.1, but before you do any of this, visit the instruction page online: http://obiconnect.com/wifi (referred to in step 3 on the back of the retail package). If the hotspot times out, you can force it back into hotspot setup mode by dialing *27 from your OBihai connected handset.Enjoy!

It works!
I use this adapter with the Obihai 202 and it works perfectly. The setup took longer than anticipated. I tried the basic setup but the obi wifi signal wouldn't remain available and connected. I watched the YouTube video and ended up using the computer setup method. I connected the Ethernet cord to the Obi VoIP adapter and to my router then connected a second Ethernet cord from the VoIP adapter (Lan port) to my computer. I was able to access the ip url and logged in. Once everything was setup I was able to unplug the Ethernet cords and move the device to another room. I haven't experienced any problems with dropped calls or noise on the line.

Challeneging setup but very good tech support
Considering how easy setting up the OBi200 was I was surprised how hard it was to configure the OBiWiFi, although in the end I got it working. The setup instructions look straight forward with three easy steps - plug device into your OBiHai box, connect to the ObiWiFi's own hot spot, log in to the OBiWiFi and configure it to connect to your home wireless access point. My install went sideways after logging on to the OBiWiFi at which point it no longer was visible as an access point with no obvious way of configuring it. OBiHai does not have phone support, but I submitted a ticket (get your OBiHai number for the device from your OBiTalk account) and they responded within an hour with questions about my set up and the SSID and password of the access point I wanted to connect to and they configured and connected the OBiWiFi for me.Being a geek I wanted to know what they did so I could do it myself in the future, and this is what they emailed back:There is a simple way of configuring your OBiwifi. With the OBiwifi inserted to the USB port (with blue light blinking inside), and also the OBi200 connected via ethernet cable to the router, please login to your obitalk.com account, and click on your OBI number to device configuration page.Click on OBi Expert Configuration (on the bottom of the device config page)Click on Enter OBi ExpertClick on OBiwifi configuration (wifi setting)Uncheck both square boxes on the right side of the SSID and password, and enter your Wifi SSID and wifi password in the respective fields, and then hit “Submit” at the bottom of the page. Note that the SSID is case sensitiveWait for a minute or so, and the status page will show whether the OBi gets an IP address from the wifi router, and if yes, then you can unplug the Ethernet cable and you should be able to make calls via wifi.

ObiWifi Wireless Adapter - Avoid it, cheap product failed after three weeks use
The first OBIwifi I ordered arrived Dead On Arrival. I tried troubleshooting it with OBI support but they were not responsive. I therefore returned it via Amazon and elected to have a new one sent thinking I got a faulty one. Amazon quickly send me the new one and it worked well for about three weeks, today it died. When it is working it flashes a blue light continuously. This morning, no flashing light and when I pulled it out of the phone it was extremely hot to the touch (same symptoms as the first one exhibited). I just threw it out in the garbage. This is the weak link to an otherwise fine OBI product lines.I got my 25 foot ethernet cable out and connected it to my 1022 OBIHAI and am back in business. If you need the wifi I would recommend you spend a few extra dollars and get the OBI1062 phone which has wifi built in. If you have an OBI202 then set up close to your router and use an ethernet cable. The OBiWifi adapter is a poor product. From reading the reviews others have also mentioned the same failure. This is either a design flaw or just cheap components. I have no other wifi adapter (currently using one on a RASPBERRY PI) that exhibits these issues. The phone requires the OBiWIFI Wireless adapter and will not work with a generic WIFI adapter. Very poorly thought out product.Stay away from the OBiWIFI Wireless Adapter. There are too many failures. It's a shame because it gives their outstanding VOIP phone product line a bad reputation.I have the Obi202 which is connected via Ethernet cable and I also have the 1062 which has built in WiFi adapter. Both work flawlessly. The ObiWiFi Wireless Adapter is a lemon, avoid it.

Free and works
I dropped my cell phone contract as I began to work from home more often, and found myself in need of a home phone. I've had a cell phone for 10 years, and I'm happy to be free of it.This device allows me to have a land line phone in the house, over the internet, for free. It works great, I have had very few issues with it. I did have a time where I was not recieving calls but that was because of Google. I troubleshooted the Obihai by browsing the website and found the solution.I recommend this to anyone who wants to have a land line and will be maintaining internet/wi-fi in the house. PS: I also bought the wifi dongle. Works like a charm.
