Unique-looking Chinese Teapot
This is for my individual use; I love Chinese tea pots and cup sets. Beautiful black/maroon in color (unique) & well-made. Cover fits perfectly on the pot, pot is well balanced & it sits flat on the table. The tea pours out in a straight stream. It holds about 2 cups, perfect for me. The handle fits 2 fingers holding the teapot comfortably. I believe this type of clay teapot, if constantly used & used with the same teas, absorbs the tea flavors & over time enhances your cup of tea.

Great find!
Attractive decorative teapot that can actually be used for small amounts of tea if so desired! Teacup arrived badly chipped however, teapot was the reason for the purchase so not worth it to exchange the whole set!

Beautifully detailed
I bought this for myself to add to my collection of tea pots. The details are beautiful. The tea pot is smaller than I thought it would be but not by much, which made it perfect. It also came with a small tea cup which was not expect, a sweet surprise. I simply love it. And would recommend it to any thinking of getting one.

Nice Product
The pot had a small hair line crack in the bottom but so far has not leaked and with stood hot tea at 200 degrees. Believe it or not all teas have a specific brewing temp that they should be brewed at and if you use the proper temp and steep for at least three to five minuets your tea will be outstanding. Under brewing will result in a bitter tasting tea and you will add sugar to try and compensate for the bitter taste. But if brewed at the proper temp it will actually taste as it should. The tea will have that taste naturally as if you had added sugar. Also please do not only brew but one specific type of tea in a Yiting tea pot. Brewing more than one kind of tea in these clay tea pots will ruin them forever. For more information look it up on Google.

Nice piece
Very happy. Although it came without a box.? It was wrapped very well in styrofoam. Perfect condition. Will say the spout needs to be redesigned, it dribbles. And the handle gets hot. Having said all that I still love the way it looks

It does dribble when you pour it out
It came in an amazon envelope which had me worried about it being broken, but it arrived with no visible damage far as I could tell so that's great. From what I gathered of a few Google searches purple clay tends to be a pricier buy and given this one is on the cheap side I'm not too sure it is purple clay; it's definitely made out of clay. After unboxing to clean it I just left it in a pot of boiling water for an hour; the reason for not using soap when it comes to clay is that it'll get stuck on the clay pores and leak soapy taste into the tea. It does hold around 500 mL which I like. The only thing I don't like is the dribble as I pour it just ruins the aesthetic in my opinion. Rated 3 1/2 stars because does everything a teapot should do but lost a star for the dribble and lost half a star since I'm unsure it's purple clay.
