Now I'm Reading Complete Starter Kit

I love this set. We were looking for easy readers and found these. I didn't like the BOB books because some of them depict manners, etc that I do not want my child thinking are ok (hitting, etc). These books pictures are nicer, story makes a little more sense, and they are nicely done.

Many "pre-reader" books don't actually teach reading & often are simplified versions of a story. What I like about this series is that it builds the fundamental skills of reading-- i.e. The fat cat. The tan fat cat is on the mat kind of thing. It encourages a young reader. Many pre-reader books are basically the parents reading and the child memorizing.

This is a cute complete set of leveled easy readers. To me, all easy readers are pretty dull so this set is no different. There is only so much you can write using easy sight words! This is a fun easy set for kids to read though, and there is nothing dull about your child reading to you!

Perfect early reading books targeting specific phonics skills & an explanation for parents. Cute stories, comprehension questions, & practice wirh rhyming. Awesome!!

Love these books. I ordered the box set for $22 got 1 book in the mail. It has a $0.99 sticker on it. Not as described.

Did not receive the correct book

I bought this for my son when I was teaching him to read. He didn't really like it. I initially used "Teach Your Child to Read in 100 Easy Lessons" to teach him the basics. He loved that book, which I personally thought was a little boring. But these books, he hated. He never wanted to read them. I didn't think they were that great either- they weren't really interesting stories and sometimes didn't make much sense.
