Excellent addition to the technical Japanese series
"Reflections on Science" is a bit different than the other books in the Technical Japanese Series in that it is a glossed reader of actual articles by a specific author (as opposed to the sample readings in the other books of the series). It is definitely for the advanced student, but comes with grammar/vocabulary notes and some translations of the texts as well. What I particularly enjoyed about this book was that apart from being good language practice, it's actually very interesting reading : conversational, insightful, etc. It's nice that the authors provided some English translations, as Nakaya's writings (except for his work on Snow Crystalas) have not been widely translated into English. An excellent addition to the technical Japanese series : I'm hoping this will be the first of many advanced readers of this type.
