Colorforms Classics Barbie Dress-Up Set

I know, I know. You have fond memories of your Colorforms as a kid. It's Christmas time. It's Peanuts. You're feeling nostalgic and this feels like the PERFECT gift for your kiddos who don't have a clue what it was like to be a real kid and play with REAL toys, right?Well, don't fall for it. This thing is horribly limited. While it's authentic, you forget how bad this thing was. Everything is printed in only 2 colors. It smells weird and there are only a small handful of Colorforms. Do yourself a favor -- spend the same amount of money on a TON of stickers of whatever cartoon your kids like, and they'll be way happier and be able to create way more scenes and situations than what comes with this set.

Although this is technically the same as the original colorforms, it is definitely made cheaper. The color forms themselves look like they have been copied a hundred times over. It is hard to make out what each individual sticker is supposed to be and they don't really stick. I would not make this purchase again. If it wasn't a Christmas gift from Santa, I would have sent it back. Save your money.

I wish I would’ve listened to the other one star reviewers. Definitely not old colorform quality. Bought this as a Christmas gift and it’s useless. Pieces do not stick at all. I tried to clean the pieces but it didn’t help. They don’t stick to the board or the storage piece. It’s frustrating for my granddaughter when she tries to place them and they just curl up. Would not recommend.

Cheap reproduction. The quality is terrible and nothing like the vibrant detailed originals stickers like when we were kids. Huge disappointment..

I bought this for my daughter because I had it as a child and loved it. The pieces don’t stick and after playing with it once the pieces are all curled.

These are terrible. Nothing like true colorforms. The pieces are no thicker than dollar store window clings. The board is barely cardboard. Like another review, very disappointing.

My wife had this when she was young and loved getting it on our 20th anniversary. I knew she liked Holly Hobby but had no idea she had this as a child, just lucked out when I found it among other Holly Hobbie stuff when searching. I would give it 4.5 stars because the vinyl forms and cardboard doll are a lot thinner than we both remember and that distinctive Colorforms smell is not there. But the fact they still reissue these is great.

We had a set of these before and unfortunetly lof them in a house fire we had back in july. We bought a new set for my 5 year old daughter for christmas so "santa" could replace them for her and she was super excited. She loves to change up the differnt out fits and different objects and mix and match every thing some times for hours on end. This is also great for people in there late 60's erly 70's cause it reminds them of then they grew up apparently. My parents (who are in there late 60's erly 70's) if they visit will play with these even when no one is around lol.

All the little plastic clothing and shapes stuck to the board, just the same as the Colorforms sets I had as a child.Little Miss Weather is a particularly cute little set.The thing with any reproduction of a toy... the quality and materials will never ever be the same as what you had as a kid. But that doesn't mean that the sets that they are making today, still aren't good. The plastic pieces may be flimsier than they were years ago, but they still stuck to the board and the all colours were bright and cheerful.

The kids like rearranging the props, and can spend from 2 minutes to an entire hour with the toy. So far the decals seem to be robust, but from past experience with a similar product, after a time they curl and no longer adhere well. This can sometimes be fixed by immersing them in hot water and straightening them

This is fun for young children. Pieces cling well. For me it is a trip down memory lane when MY kindergarten teacher used weather Colorforms in class. Good product that lasts the time test.
