So, this equipment is manufactured to a price point. That fact is obvious in the overall apparent build quality and fit and finishOn the surface, it's pretty from a distance.Having said that...When I opened the box with the vacuum pump, the two oil bottles in the box were empty. When you add to that the fact that the pump and inside of the box were covered in oil with oil pudding in the bottom Styrofoam insert, I thought that the oil leaked out of the bottles.The listing indicates that oil is not included, so I ordered a bottle the day after my pump and gauges arrived.When I finally had a chance, I pulled out the pump to use and cleaned it thoroughly. There was not 2 100 ml bottles worth of oil spilled. The pump window shows evidence of the pump having oil in it at some time.After cleaning the pump and filling it with oil, it sputtered oil from the outlet for a few minutes when I turned it on.The evidence suggests that the pump was filled with oil and tested. Then drained and packed.My guess is that the empty oil bottles are a matter of convenience, and the oil inside the box and on the pump are the result of the box being turned upside down after packing and the excess oil draining out of the pump through the outlet.The equipment functions as designed and expected. It is suitable for the home gamer, but will probably not stand up to the rigors of professional use.

In trying to save some money, I bought and set up 2 DSS units and provided their power. But I could not get anyone to come hook up the lineset and power it up. At the suggestion of a commercial HVAC friend, I bought this equipment and did it myself. Just wish it was easy to secure a 1 lb can of R410a as I need that to add to the unit with the 30' lineset. So I'm pleased with the product.

I wanted to like this set, but sadly, the pump arrived damaged, in that the motor case is dented and the pump has a significant rattle when it runs. The box had no damage to it so the unit must have been packaged damaged or was a return or something. The gauges are ok, but the scales are in Celsius only and not color coded to the refrigerant type.UPDATE: This company has great customer service! They reached out to me and proactively worked to resolve this matter with me. I would not hesitate to buy from them again. Thanks!

Needed to calibrate the low side upon delivery/first use. Main issue I had was it is a 1/4" set up. So if you need to use this for automotive, will need to acquire a 1/4" male to 1/2" female adapter necessary to attach to 134a recharge canisters. Also, as previously mentioned, does not come with oil, but a trip to O'Rileys had a bottle for sale for the pump. Nice thing was it did come with 2 reusable bottles to store extra pump oil.

Bought this for my husband for our rv. It’s a great little pump that seems to have a lot of power to it. It’s very easy to use... even for a beginner like us! I’d definitely recommend it!

i bought this to work on my own car. the pump does not come with oil, i had to go find and purchase the oil. after that the pump did the job. however, the yellow hose on the gauge does not fit anything. i was not able to add any freon. so now the gauge and hose set is useless to me other than checking the pressure on my car AC. the advertising said it would fit but it does not.

I used this unit to install a Mini-Split in my garage. I was only able to draw down a vacuum to about 20” Hg, but it held for over 2hrs.For he fittings and quality is perfect for the money!
