Great for Cuts in Awkward Places
This stuff has been a staple in my first-aid kit for years. Traditional bandages don’t always cut it—especially for cuts on fingers, knuckles, or anywhere that bends or gets wet often. That’s where New-Skin really shines. It stings a little when you first apply it (fair warning!), but it dries quickly and forms a solid, flexible seal over the wound that stays in place through handwashing, showers, and general daily wear. I’ve used it on everything from kitchen knife nicks to scrapes on my heel when breaking in new shoes.Pros:• Perfect for hard-to-bandage areas• Stays on even with water exposure• Compact and easy to carry• Way more discreet than a Band-Aid• Helps prevent reopening the cutCons:• The sting is real for a second or two• Small bottle, but a little goes a long wayIf you deal with frequent minor cuts or just hate how bandages peel off after a few hours, this is 100% worth having on hand. Just make sure the wound is clean before applying!

Perfect for small cuts on hands
This is the best to use on paper cuts and hang nails and scrapes on hands because bandages don't stay on if you're washing your hands all day. I find it doesn't usually sting until the *second* time you apply it to a small cut, but I'm ok with it. Irritating little wounds heal faster and hurt less once they're coated with this.I also use it for scrapes elsewhere, mostly because I get annoyed with having bandages on. It's best for small wounds, obviously, but I find it helps me avoid scarring, which my skin is prone to. It's also more discreet than a bandage if it's somewhere visible, like the arms or face. It can still be seen but less obviously. It's a great addition to a travel or first aid kit because it doesn't take up much space and it's so useful. Plus, I always seem to hurt my hands carrying suitcases and such on a trip! I just wish there could be a plastic version because I'm always afraid I'll break the glass bottle on a trip. Hasn't happened yet, though. There's a different kind for kids from the same brand that doesn't sting but also doesn't stay on as long. If the sting really bothers you or younger ones, you can give that a try.

It works
Why did you pick this product vs others?:I usually look for a lot of 5 star reviews. I ordered it, and it works like a charm. Bandages aren’t practical on some cuts.

Held up through sweat, dirt, and tools – perfect for Handymen
I’m a full-time handyman, and that means busted knuckles and scrapes are just part of the job. I picked up this New-Skin Liquid Bandage after slicing my finger on a sharp edge of sheet metal—right where a regular bandage never sticks. This stuff goes on like clear nail polish, stings like hell for a second (which honestly lets me know it’s doing something), and then it dries fast and forms a solid, flexible seal. I was gripping tools again within minutes. It held through an 8-hour day of sweat, sawdust, handwashing, and lugging gear. What I like: • Stays put—no peeling or slipping • Keeps grit and grime out of open skin • Dries fast, no waiting around • Takes up almost no space in the truckMinor downside: Strong smell when you first open the bottle, and yeah—the sting is real. But that’s just part of the deal if you want it to clean and seal at the same time.Bottom line: If you work with your hands and don’t have time to baby a bandage all day, this stuff’s worth tossing in your toolbox or glove box. It earned its spot in mine.

Amazing
I haven't even received my order and I'll go ahead and rate this 5 stars. If you know, you know. New-skin is the best wet bandage I have ever used. I make sure to clean out my wound with iodine and then alcohol before application. You want a sterile dry environment before sealing up your wound. Once applied, this stuff is bulletproof. It stings for a second or two, but after that, the pain is gone. I suffer from dry skin and my fingers are constantly tearing or cracking while playing basketball, golf, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, bowling or just simple hosuework/gardening. This seals up my cuts takes away all that pain. A recent example. I had an extended bowling session and tore off a pretty large chunk of my middle finger. I went through all the cleaning/prep of the wound, and then applied several layers of the New-Skin. The pain went away and I was back on the lanes the next day. I bowled comfortably for 6 games with no pain. I did add a layer of tape over the New-Skin. but everything held tight my entire session. This really is great stuff.

This is a must have with 4 kids! It has also helped me curb my nail biting habit. 😬

Dries out long before expiration date, at least in Colorado's dry air
It works fine before it dries out. But it dried out long before the expiration date on the bottle. And even though it is small enough to go in your carry on liquids bag for air travel in case you get a cut, they will explosives test it at Heathrow but not at any other airport.
