Bought this to replace the front bumper on a John Deere riding mower. It was exactly what I needed and shipping was very fast.

OEM part. Fit perfectly, color matched. No instructions included, but installation was not complicated.

So, I admit it. I *gently* bumped my 13-year-old John Deere LT 160 into a tree stump and ... the bumper cracked. When I lifted the hood laster on, the whole unit came undone and crashing down onto the garage floor. Luckily, this replacement bumper is all that I needed to put everything back together. Shipment by Amazon marketplace vendor "jdeverythingjd" was extraordinarily fast. And, it fit perfectly with the other parts of the original hood and the metal chassis.My rating includes the deduction of one star because it did not come with any assembly instructions. Mechanically-challenged people like me need them.As others have noted, there are a few ways to go wrong with the installation ( ... thanks to those of you here who have cautioned us to NOT over-tighten the various screws ...). Luckily, and despite my mechanical ineptitude, I believe I figured it out and nothing has come falling off ... at least not yet.

My John Deere LT166 is my best friend in the yard. When the bumper hinges cracked and finally broke I thought that was the end and wondered how in the world I'd fix that. The hood sat on the mower most of the time but checking the oil was a pain when the whole hood would come off and too many bumps caused it to shift and almost slide off while mowing. My friend noticed that the bumper would come off and suggested I see if I could get a replacement. It is SO nice to be able to check the oil without a hassle and mow without worry that the hood would end up in front of me.Putting the bumper on does not come without frustrations. You have to have patience and hold your mouth right some of the time. Plan on laying on the ground to get the nuts and bolts secure, too. Here's a tip: Before tightening the bolts be sure to adjust the hood so it latches right. I had to loosen them and re-adjust (Argh! Just when you think you are done!).
