Good fan for some ventillation
Installation - really easy. The big QR code on the fan takes you to a website with a youtube video. Two screws opens the top. Run a wire in. Neutral goes to N, Live goes to L, and then the switched live wire to LT for high speed. Read the manual. It's super easy. The chassis comes with two thumb clips which allow you to remove the body of the fan without disconnecting the duct. Great feature for cleaning.Noise level - With about 1.5 m of inlet ducting, it's noticeable at the inlet vent, but you can't hear it in the spare bedroom under the fan. It's good and quietValue for money - This is hard to say. I bought it for only £35, so expectations should be low. Using a dryer hose with bends, kinks, and a long runs of duct seem to take a big toll on performance. I think it could be better for what I need (rapid removal of moisture directly above the shower), but it was only £35 and it works. It will stop mold from growing.

Low noise, Works well, Good features
Installed to remove steam from a shower.Best features are:Removable leaving all ducting in place, so great for future servicing/replacement.Quiet running.Integrated overrun timer.Dual speed. My experience:Works well and is fairly quiet though I mounted it onto a beam and sound is conducted to the house so I will remount onto a foam pad to silence it completely sometime. Sound is not intrusive though. There are some reviews mentioning water getting in to the electronics but it is down to how you mount the unit and the ducting you use. This time I mounted it vertically with minimum amount of ducting, venting to a vent tile in the roof. I would say avoid uninsulated ducting as you will get condensation inside which will lead to water ingress, especially in winter months. Keep the runs short as possible and with a slope so condensation cannot pool in the pipe. Better for any condensation to run back into the shower where it is already wet rather than anywhere else, though I see no water as the 30 minute overrun probably dries it all out.The low speed doesn't seem to be much slower but is a little quieter than full speed. To reduce noise especially for night time, I wired a relay into the unit so it runs full speed when the bathroom light is on then low speed for 30 mins when the light is turned off. Seems a good solution. You should definitely incorporate an isolation switch so all lines can be disconnected for servicing/replacement etc.Good product - would buy again.

If fans are your thing
good and easy product to install. Although quite large it has the feature that the fan part comes as a removable element of the fixing and flexible tubes either side. This makes it easier to change next time and install in the first place. This is in fact my second but separate installation. Excellent

Works well, great value, with a few caveats..
If you want a low cost, powerful inline fan this is incredibly good value. Like many fans made in China and resold in the UK, the instructions are difficult to understand and the screws are useless, they may as well be made out of butter. Once you accept this, the fan offers the same functionality as fans three times the price available from traditional retailers. That said, even those fans are no better quality as this one.

Replace that old Cessena in the wall with a Heath-Robinson duct design solution
Great fan unit. This is my second one of these and I've replaced all Expelair noisy contraptions with these quiet and well behaved in-line units. They're more powerful - you can feel the draft under the bathroom door - and have operated for years without showing overheating or sounding like having a Cessena stuck in your bathroom wall. Check out the fps ratings (cu ft per sec or farts per sec?)I think they're safer. Some of the cheaper wall units just use a large resistor in their circuits that can get hot and age - not good. These units don't have that issue. Don't forget to buy a multi-pole fan isolation switch, 3+1 mains cable , lots of pipe and fittings and make sure that its all fitted correctly - use a professional (electrician) if uncertain or illegal to DIY.
