SO happy I bought this
This not only looks amazing on my counter top but keeps my drinking water clean. I wish I could afford a really large one but for this price point, this is a great deal.

Poor craftsmanship, copper plated not solid copper
There is a hole in the spigot. Damaged from the factory. Was not damaged in transport. This is a quality issue. Instead of sending it back I just used silver solder to repair. The water does not flow very well and the craftsmanship is sub par for a copper plated steel container.

I have doubts whether it is real copper
The container is impressive, shiny and gives the impression that it is made of real copper. However, after about a month of use, the color remained shiny and did not change as is typical of copper vessels. The faucet is in good condition and there are no leaks but the container is 4 liters in size and not 5 liters as described in the product specifications.

It’s Coated in something
The entire point of copper is its anti bacterial and mold properties. I noticed a slime mold growing inside mine so was obviously perplexed. Being a retired metal worker I was curious as how this copper was able to keep its shine. It’s coated in something probably toxic. The fix is burning it off in the oven on 400° or using a crème brûlée torch (my favorite). Remove the plastic fittings first….🤦🏻 After burning it off at 400° I decided it’s probably not hot enough. Probably should be left on a rack on clean mode for a cycle. That’ll burn it off….
