Easy install and lowered my trans temps. So far, so good. I may add a fan later if needed.

This stacked plate transmission oil cooler was chosen for durability. I had purchased a tube and fin, four pass, for my 1996 4.0 with 4R55E transmission. I was in the middle of mounting the tube an fin cooler and didn’t feel it was durable enough given the required location and possibly if damage by road debris and having to use transmission fluid hose and band clamps. I decided on AN fittings and stainless braided lines.Quality product. AN fitting conversion was a challenge due to unfamiliar fitting sizes and specific fitting requirements.NPT is national pipe taperNPS is national pipe straightAlso note that AN to AN is reliable. A -6 Male or female is guaranteed.However at transmission to AN. The original trans fitting is an inverted flair. For my 4R55E this meant a 5/8 inverted flair to male -6.For the radiator it’s not straight forward as original hard line is not replicated by aan AN fitting. It’s an inverted flair but is long reach.I removed the fitting and went to an AN fitting NPT into the radiator coolin tank male to -6 male.

Overall I'm happy with the kit. The cooler came with a bent mount flange - fortunately, I only needed three so I was able to orient it in a way that the bent flange wasn't used.Quality overall seems rather good apart from the damage. There was no damage to the box it came in which would seem to indicate it was damaged prior to packaging.I used this as a fuel cooler to hopefully stop the boiling fuel problem that most 100 series land cruiser have to deal with.

Great cooler dropped my trans temp by 30 degrees on hard hills, had it for 2 years then decided to update the lines and it being in a really hard spot to get to couldn't get a second wrench on the cooler and snapped the top off, other then install errors been great, bought a second one to replace it

No visible damage at all yet came leaking out the box. Bought this to switch out my 10 row evil energy cooler for a larger one. Install was fine however it leaks from the top plate as if the metal is to porous to keep itself together. Currently JB welding it as I have a trip in a few days but I can say with certainty that I will think twice when buying evil energy

Installed no problems running in series with aluminum radiator, doesn't block airflow to ac condenser/radiator, air easily passed thru unlike other brands, running in a 99 jeep xj, with auto transmission, upgraded all fuel, trans cooler, and pcv system to evil energy an fittings. Jeep is built with larger tires, sees alot of off roading, and highway miles used for work and play, have never seen high temp readings

I liked that it was a parallel flow heat exchanger vs. a series flow type. This was an experimental project with a small budget. The primary fluid was a propylene glycolyl water mixture in a closed system with expansion tank for a cooling a small high pressure 3500 psi, air compressor . A small dc pump is used to circulate the fluid in the oil cooler . The air side of cooler is immersed in a 13 Gallon plastic barrel of cold water. Amazon is a good source for affordable items for many of my projects.
