The New Baby Paperback – Picture Book, January 1, 2001

Bought as a gift but my kids had this book 30 years ago and it’s still relative and cute!

Whenever I go to a baby shower and the new baby will have an older sibling, I always buy this book for the sibling so they'll feel included when they're looking at all the new stuff for the new baby. Little Critter books are the best not only because of the way Mercer Mayer writes them but also because it isn't culturally or racially typecast. The parents love them as much as the kids, not just because of the content but also because each book is relatively short and in every single case, the child has the parent read it over and over and over again.

Loved this book to help prepare my son who is 2 years old prepare for his new sibling. This book was cheap but relevant for our current situation.

Anything written by Mercer Mayer ends up being my favorite book. With a baby sister arriving in July, I thought that a book would be nice about her arrival and how he might understand the importance of taking care of new baby sister.

The media could not be loaded. We got this book to read to our toddler when I was pregnant with his sister, and he responded really well to it. It’s a cute read. The quality is decent for a paperback.

We read this to my toddler before our second baby was born to get him used to the idea of being a big brother and he loves the book now and still want me to read it even months after the baby was born.
