Mestemacher Protein Bread, 8.8 Ounce (Pack of 9)

I live this bread. It has a rich nutty taste that reminds me of breads that I enjoy when I am in Europe. It also has high protein and is low carb and fiber. Satisfying.

Buying this bread since years, always from the same, trusty shop which ships the bread packages in a box, boxed in a box.They were out of stock the last time I ordered and I stumpled over this supplier.Biggest mistake with bread sell ever.No carton box , loose in an amazon plastic bag.Driver threw it on the ground without taking any care.You might imagine that nearly all of the 9 packages had broken bread inside.I am trying to make the best out of this and so I sliced the already broken bread slices into smaller pieces, drying them right now at 175 F in the oven with the intention to use them as croutons on my salad.After finishing this message I eill check if my trusty supplier has stocked up.I only can advise to stay away from this shop.Otherwise => this is a perfect product, very delicious and healthy - helped me to loose 70 lbs of weight!

I usually do not write such a long review but I need to this time. I order the 9 pack of the Protein Bread - Meastemacher from Amazon as I could no longer find it in any local store. This bread has 10 grams protein and 7 carbs (total 12 - 5 for fiber). I keep to a Keto like diet keeping my carb intake low. Belly fat is gone! I miss the convenience of sandwiches and this has been the only bread that seems to satisfy me with all the protein and it is all-natural. This was my first order from Amazon. It came only in a 9 pack with each package having 5 servings. This will probably last me a few months. Since the product has a 3 mos self-life I went ahead and ordered it even though it was $30+. I froze several packages. The reason I gave this product 4 stars for Freshness, is that one of the packages had mold in it (all the packages had the same expiration date). Looks like moisture got inside. I contact Amazon customer service and they gave me a FULL REFUND!! I still have 8 packages of very good bread!! This is why I shop amazon. thank you. I will definitely reorder the bread from Amazon again.

I didn’t realize there are just 5 slices per package. I’m a big fan of the other types of mestemacher bread. I gravitate to their bread as an alternative to highly processed bread. After the company sent me two packages of expired sunflower bread I decided to try a different flavor. I got the protein 9 pack and while I love that it has 10grams of protein per slice, I feel compelled to note that the slices are much smaller than the other breads and the texture more rubbery. The ingredients look good especially while I’m trying to eat extra healthy while pregnant and avoid spiking my blood sugar, but I can’t say that I love it. I will continue eating for health reasons but once the 9 packages are to through I hope to get back to one of the other mestemacher flavors

I pay a lot of attention to fitness and nutrition and now that I'm middle aged, I'm focused on replacing empty calories (like bread and pasta) with high protein alternatives. The nutrition rule of thumb for non-active adults is 1/2 your weight in grams of protein per day....and this bread helps me get there.The taste and texture is amazing and much better than my own bread recipes - it's become our permanent go-to in our household.

I bought this Mestemacher Protein Bread via Subscribe and Save and will buy it again in the future...If you're looking to stock your pantry with some tasty bread that is a good value, this tastes pretty similar and is currently a better value per ounce, Mestemacher Sunflower Seed Bread, 17.6-Ounce Packages (Pack of 12) (link may not show up on a mobile phone, you can search ASIN #: B000LKZ7KC).They both have somewhat of a rye flavor. This protein bread has a bit of a chewier texture but it's not bad and we wouldn't say it tastes like a low carb or specialty type food. No funky aftertastes or anything.A delicious and nutritious choice. Not as good, in our opinions, as our favorite seed breads we buy locally but we like it. I'll be watching pricing in hopes it is more reasonable when I buy next time. Great to have on hand.This is a product of Germany. Ours arrived with an expiration date of August 2017, about 10 months out from date of purchase.The packages are quite small but the added protein is where the value comes in for us. I'm uploading some photos so you can compare it to a loaf of seed bread we purchase locally, to see the size of the bread.Recommended. Smile. Hope this helps!

Sliced nice & thin but very dense with awesome chewy little seeds & a great feel in your mouth. I didn't fully toast it but a little. Flavor is homemade real classic goodness. Like from a long time ago when bread Was always made homemade dense fresh & satisfying. Great recipe. The bonus is I feel good after I eat it. Reenergized & ready to get on with my afternoon. A true mark of an excellent protein bread. And oh yeh low carb. Win Win. Thank you soo much for making & sharing such a great food product. : ) Also I just left out 1 pak & put the rest into freezer bags & into the freezer. That's where I keep my smart buns also maximum freshness that way. Though gotta say this bread is definitely my new fav. ; )

Dusty texture and flavor. The 5 whole grain is far superior.
