Absolutely love this, not sure it’s worth the cost after price went up
I had the good fortune of buying this before the price went up. It was a “splurge” impulse buy I made after having a few “Crush” drinks (recipe is below) while on vacation in Maryland. It’s practically their state drink and can ONLY be made with fresh squeezed juice. The drinks are $12-14 depending where you you are or where you go (I was in Deale, MD) so I figured after buying this and the drink ingredients my “break even” was 7 homemade Crushes. I had it delivered to the house and planned to bring it home. This thing absolutely does the trick: the fruit is practically pulverized, with no juice left at all. It’s great to use if you’re making several drink over the course of a afternoon or evening. I’ve used it for oranges, pineapple, lemons, limes, and even smaller grapefruits. If I could do half stars, I would and give 4.5 stars only because it’s a little small for grapefruit. Also, clean up is a bit of a pain, so I don’t use this if I’m making one drink. The strainer part can be a little tough to get apart and pulp does clog it after every few uses. Also, don’t forget to wipe/clean under the dome and on the stand and handle as these get sticky with use.I would also give 4.5 starts because after the price increase I don’t think it’s as worth it. My price was upper 50s, much better than the mid 70s it is now. That all said, if you host parties or make things that require a lot of fresh juice, this thing is the bomb.I liked it so much that, after making too many “Crush” drinks, I bought another to leave at the place I stay so I’d have it there the next time.Crush Drink Recipe:Juice from 1 orange, grapefruit, etc.2 oz vodka1 oz triple secCombine in pint glass with ice. Pour back and forth between pint glass and the juice cup from the press. Don’t break up the ice cubes, just get the drink good and cold.Pour everything into a pint glass and top with 7-up or Sprite, giving a little stir to combine.

Awesome product!!!
Yea this thing is awesome! It just arrived today and I unboxed right away to try it out. I had 2 bags of oranges ready to go to test it out (its what I mainly got it for) and it did not disappoint! It completely obliterated those orange halves one by one, squeezing the life outta each one and getting pretty much all the juice one can from an orange! Its very easy to use and i love that its cast iron as well. It doesnt strain the pulp completely but that's not a deal breaker for me. All in all, super happy I ended up buying this! Buy with confidence!!

Good value
Really happy with the juice presser. Nothing fancy, but it works well. One thing to consider is that the larger the orange, the more likely you are to get pulp stuck in the sieve. Have only had it a few weeks but seems easy to clean. Just be mindful to clean the underside of the press mechanism itself (i.e., the stainless steel part that is on the lever). After a few uses, the residue from the orange peel can accumulate.

Wonderful juicer.
This is wonderful. I have gone through so many hand held squeeze juicers and they all broke. This is heavy duty and gets all the juice out.It is easy to clean and comes with suction feet.Be careful that you put the handle all the way up before you move in or it may hit you in the head and it's heavy. This cast iron juicer should last long enough to get passed down in the family.

Good juicer with a couple minor drawbacks
This item is great when you need to juice many fruits at once. The long lever provides plenty of leverage to prevent your arm from getting tired which is great. There are 2 small issues however. First, the base is a little too short, requiring you to use 2 hands. One hand to steady the unit while the other hand operates the lever. If you don't hold it steady then it will have a tendency to tilt forward. Also, the press piece is not removable, requiring you to put the entire thing in the sink to rinse off. If they fixed these 2 issues then it would be perfect.

One of the best purchases I have ever made!
If I could select an item for best purchase of 2024 this would be it! I can honestly say I have had the best orange juice of my life since buying this juicer. It is straight forward and does exactly what you hope it will. It takes small and large oranges and lemons with no problems. I haven’t tried it on grapefruit. There are a few minor things they could improve but nothing I would hesitate about. For instance, some of our oranges can get quite large, larger than you typically see in stores. When you juice those the juice might squirt out if you are going fast. If the outer wall was a little taller it would catch those. We are talking first-world problems here!It might also be helpful to make a smaller base cone available for smaller limes or tangerines, etc.It will take you a few tries to get a good feel for how hard to pull down. If you squeeze citrus too tight you will get juice out of the peel which will make the juice tart and acidic. The key is to stop when you feel the handle hit the firm layer, do not pull down until the handle goes into the locking position….unless you like the taste of orange peel!Don’t hesitate to, just buy it, if you have citrus trees, you will use it.

Requires a strong arm for larger fruit, but it does work quickly and well!
Impressed with this machine. I have a big orange tree with varying sized fruit, from less than baseball to less than softball sized. Have been throwing away the smaller ones due to little juice and just wasting time. This machine de-juices them in 2 seconds. Larger ones take more pressure but works ok. The front legs should be about 3" longer. When juicing large fruit, more pressure is required pulling down so you have to hold the top so it doesn't come towards you. Be nicer if it were higher where the juice comes out. The aluminum catcher doesn't hold much so you have to constantly empty it when doing 100+ oranges as I did yesterday. More chances for spills.

Margarita Time!
I've wanted one for years, but couldn't justify the pricetag (until I saw one for 'like new' for basically 50% off, Yoink! That's mine!) and now I can finally make my own Don Pablo's Real-Margaritas at home. Look up the recipe, best margarita you'll ever have!!!
