Great Assist in and out of Vehicle
Helps my 93 year-old mother get in and out of the car much easier. Solid construction and I think will last a long time.

Fine Product But Does Not Fit My Specific Need.
This grab bar is fine - strong and easy to use by placing it in the door latch on the frame of the vehicle. However it doesn't serve my needs very well. As noted by other reviewers, it does help me get down from a vehicle, especially one that does not have a built-in grab bar overhead. It helps me avoid grabbing the door or the frame along the roof. And I can use it to steady myself at the side of the vehicle when transferring from or to my walker. However it doesn't help me when I need it to get up into a vehicle. My mobility disability is one-sided (right side) and I need the extra "grab" to be on the front, or hinge, side of the door frame on the front passenger side. That is not a possible location of this grab bar. It probably would help me get out of either side of the back seat. I haven't tried to use it to get up and into the back seat. I doubt it would improve getting up into either left or right as the grab bar would be on the latch side, behind me. Oh well. I've had the grab bar only 3-1/2 weeks and I'll try it some more, on different vehicles if possible.

Great quality
Love this, I bought it for my brother who has MS, he can't use his left side so getting out of the car is so much easier for him now.

A really great tool.
I had seen these advertised and thought it might be handy. I finally ordered one and boy what a great and useful tool. I am having surgery in a week and this will be a lifesaver for getting in and out of the car.It is very sturdy and holds securely. Makes it so much easier to motivate getting in and out of the car. So glad we got it.

Put a Smile on her Face!
You have no idea how useful this grab bar is, until you are wheelchair bound and need assistance to transfer to and from a car. The bar is secure and provides stability for the disabled. Plus it is a great relief for the niece who so cheerfully transports me to doctors' visits, etc. -- no backache for her! She just stands by the chair and grins.

It shakes
Been a care giver for my Mom. A friend had told me about a similar product that she used when caring for her mother to help her with getting out of a car. One size fits most cars. Unfortunately, it is not very stable. You have to grab hold of it just right and bear down on it to prevent it from shaking in place. For an elderly adult with out a lot of strength that can become a challenge. First time Mom tried it, the handle would shake and frightened her. I could never get her to try and use it again.
