This is the only badge reel that actually has stayed together forever. Will purchase again

Bought these for my work badge. The one I was issued was a little plastic thing that lasted almost a year until it snagged on something. This one seems pretty durable and has a lot of metal in its construction. The holder that comes with it is just the perfect size for a badge and keycard to fit together. I have only had this for a couple of weeks so far so time will tell. As of right now I would recommend and would purchase again.

Both broke at the same amount of time of use, which would be a 2-3 weeks. The string broke on both. Please heed my advice look for something else.

After over a month of ownership, the line snapped, rendering the ID badge holder useless

very fragile. I bought two. and both broke in a day! not a good gift

I purchased this product because I carry a lot of keys at work. This product helps he separate which of those keys I need at any point in time. I can’t explain how much this has helped me keep track of them and the wire is durable to I am able to pull the keys to any lock and use them without taking each one off. Great purchase.

I understand that due the nature of these devices they will inevitably break. I purchased this particular one because it looked nice and the retractable cord on it was metal, which I hoped would last longer than fabric. I can safely say that after just under 4 months of noderate use, that was not the case.To note, I used this device hooked to my belt with only a single work key fob and a small bottle opener attached. As I was pulling my key fob to tap and open a door, the metal string snapped off at the connection point to the key ring and the cord retracted back, disappearing into the base of the device. I attempted to retrieve it by unscrewing it to attempt to get inside. This only caused the device to become more broken as the springs and cord fell off track and dashed any possible attempt to salvage it.Like I said earlier, I do not expect these devices to last forever. I have had plenty of similar retractable key cords from other manufacturers that also fell apart, broke, snapped, cracked, and just became inoperable after extended use. However this may have set the record for shortest lifespan of any of them before it.I have a spare of this since it came two to a pack, but I can only imagine that the second will last just as short as the first. Disappointing and unfortunate. I do not recommend purchasing if you wish this to last more then a few months with mild to moderate use. It is otherwise a beautiful retractable key cord with a shiny black metal exterior and a laminated metal cord. The belt clip was a bit loose and it did sometimes fall off while wearing it, but was a minor issue for me.
