I'm familiar with MedLine products, and they're good quality, as well as reasonably priced. I bought this one "used, like new" and it was in original box, still in the plastic, and looked like new. It was easy to assemble in a few minutes, and very sturdy, but lightweight. I love the padded armrests. They make getting up and out of bathtub very easy and safe. I highly recommend this to anyone with mobility issues.

What I love about this is the simple fast assembly. A few long screws with little attachments on the ends so you can easily turn them by hand attaches the legs and back, and the arm rests just snap into place without screws. No bolts needed, no screwdriver or tools needed. If I can do this anyone can. I did have a friend tighten the screws as they are a bit snug going into the holes but still I could have done it myself if I had to. If you have any arthritis in your fingers and hands that might present a problem but it's still doable, it's not too stiff or difficult.Very sturdy also with nice big feet and thick rubber on the bottoms means this won't slip, although I still have a large rubber bath mat on the bottom of the tub. I am getting a waterproof cushion for this as it's hard plastic, not the most comfortable. I was hoping to find a chair with a slight curve to the seat rather than a flat hard one but they don't make shower chairs like that.I feel safe using this. I don't see how it would ever collapse or tip over. The armrests are there to help boost you up out of the chair using your hands. But if you are like me you may want to seek a waterproof cushion for it which are available on Amazon. I don't see that the seat height is adjustable but it's about the right height, not too low or too high. I have a small tub and this fits it.

This is a sturdy, well-made, and easy-to-assemble shower chair that has made my mother's showers much easier. She's 90 years old and had to hang onto the bar for balance while she showered with one hand, until recently, when she broke her wrist. I bought her this shower chair and since then, she finds showering less scary. She even declares it to be pretty because it has a nice shape, looks clean, and fits nicely into the shower stall at the retirement facility where she lives. It's a great chair.

Extremely simple to put together, no tools required. The screw twist in with a big plastic knob to help tighten them. The chair is pretty sturdy and fits well into my 19.5" width bathtub. Very light to be able to remove from the tub for baths as needed or to move around the bathroom to the sink when doing hair or brushing teeth. No issue with weight limit, but may feel less sturdy past 200 lbs. The arm grips are soft. The chair may be a little difficult to clean as the seat has holes that taper smaller towards the bottom, but no problems so far.

This review will help instruct those who may have concerns about its assembly. I'll provide tips, safety concerns, and my overall opinion of the "Guardian" model Bath Bench with Back and Arms (made by Medline). Plus advice on purchasing a bath Bench at the end of the review.Assembly is Quick and Simple (though the assembly instructions should be better detailed). The nut screws are all "hand twist knobs" so they're safe to put together. No tools are required. Warning: The Bolts are not all the same size.[Remember... Match the "A" portion of the leg to the "A" portion on the seat. Same with the "B" Portion of The leg, to the B on the seat. Use the correct size bolt (All knob nuts fit all the bolts provided). [Careful not to misplace/lose a curved little black metal piece ("nickel size") with a hole in the middle.] The legs cross in an "X" manner and that small piece (I mentioned) will structurally make the bench stronger.]Upon completing your assembly you'll notice the legs are not 100% flush/flat to the ground (though not by much... Not a big issue). The arm assistance bars (on the sides) appear a bit weak and shaky. These (arm) bars are held together by a THIN circular aluminum composite, at the sides. My fear is they could possibly break off over time; Especially if you apply a lot of weight or pressure when using.Nonetheless, the bench/chair is lite, adjustable, and strong with the exception of the side arm bars though my opinion is mostly "speculative" (over time)...I researched the prices of other Bath Benches (with their amenities) along with all personal reviews from other customers; Compared them side by side with this chair and came to my final conclusion; This Chair beats them all. The "Medline" company is well known and used highly in hospitals. The price, overall quality, and positive reviews by others make this bath bench "a Great Value Choice". My review may appear a bit long and worrisome but the positives outway the negatives. It's no "Tesla/Royal Royse" as far as chairs go, but it's a pretty safe place to relax your butt on. Isn't that what we all want? I'm pretty sure the bench comes with a warranty as well (though I never bother with those).For those purchasing a Bath Bench for the first time...If you have a small tub, a curved, small, or narrow bath floor; I suggest getting a thinner bench. Possibly one with no sidebars (based on their width) and definitely without any backrest. The price is cheaper but more importantly, you'll need better ground support, for your safety. A bench placed sideways with a backrest would make it nearly impossible to sit and bathe properly.If your Bath floor is not a problem, this chair is practically Ideal.

I bought this chair for my mom who is a senior and I couldn't be more pleased. It is very lightweight, sturdy and easy to assemble. Sits perfectly in the bathtub without slipping. My mother loves that she can sit on the chair to take her showers, without the worries of falling in the bath. The arm rest is perfect for additional support when sitting and standing.

Very well build, easy to put together, adjustable to heights taller than most. Very happy with purchase, allowed me to take a shower while healing from a knee replacement.

Easy to assemble. Very sturdy. Easily fits in my small shower. Comfortable seat for someone with recent surgery.
