An Incredible Monitor
This is an amazing monitor! Excellent color, incredible contrast, and the ability to switch between two video sources (one DP and one HDMI).However, be aware that this monitor needs a good graphics card. My 10G RTX 3080 was fine for productivity work, but fell to single digit frame rates when gaming. While the resolution is razor sharp, the higher DPI means you will likely be making your text bigger in every app. Also, the speakers are a pointless afterthought. Imagine a piezo transducer hot glued to the bottom of an empty soup can, and you will get an idea of the sound quality. Don't buy this expecting good sound.Would I buy this monitor again? YESWould I recommend it to a friend? YES- even to strangers ;)

Perfect
I used to have dual screens but I'll never go back. This is the only move.

Love it!
Arrived with no dead pixels the first time. Excellent product so far! Don't buy the warranty as the manufacturers is already good enough.

Read this BEFORE you buy...
If you are using this monitor with more than one input (especially a laptop) as well as a gaming PC, read this!I use my monitor for both work and gaming with 2 machines. My Corsair One for gaming works perfectly with this monitor with no issues. My laptop however was a nightmare to get to "work" with this monitor. The Samsung support is absolutely terrible. First, you'll get NO instruction or setup booklet when the monitor is delivered. It just shows you how to basically unpack it and "plug it in". Your laptop will likely NOT work out of the box if it's a work-grade laptop (not for gaming). I googled and watched a lot of youtube videos just to get the basics to work. I called Samsung multiple times and was told a lot of misinformation (buy a Thunderbolt C cable, do this, do that...). Finally they setup a ticket for someone to come onsite to my home and "fix" it. I was told they would be here within 24-48 hours and to answer my phone as they will close tickets if you don't. No one ever called and after 10 days they just "cancelled" the ticket stating it had the wrong information on it. Typical. You're completely on your own to figure all this out.If you're in a situation like mine, know that you'll need to use your HDMI and that you only have 1. So the idea of splitting your screen can get really tricky. To even make your HDMI work with your laptop so the screen doesn't compress, you need to go to the setup on the monitor itself and in the Menu, so to System, then PC/AV - choose AV. You may also have to change the Display Port Ver to 1.4 instead of 2.0. Everyone's situation will be different of course depending on your laptop. This at least made my laptop using HDMI usable, but it shrinks the screen size down to ~27". You won't be able to use the full 49" view.I bought this monitor primarily for gaming, but still have to use it for work as well. You'll be disappointed in it if you try to hook up a laptop with a mediocre graphics card. There are other videos out there to get this to work and use multiple inputs, but again - beware... You only get 1 HDMI and 1 Display port. It may not end up being as great of a monitor as you may think. Samsung support is ABSOLUTELY USELESS. I followed their directions and bought the Thunderbolt C connection and it still didn't work. I hope this helps someone else out in the future.

Key Points and Drawbacks
I've owned this product for close to 3 years. After then it has finally had its first every issue, which I'll have sorted with Samsung's In-Home Service covered under the warranty Samsung provides. Keep this is mind, if you buy a 3-year warranty from amazon, you will actually get a 6-year warranty since Samsung actually provides their own warranty with their suppliers. Which is cool. And before you go skipping out on the Amazon 3-year warranty, just know this. If your monitor breaks in and way after those 3 years from your purchase, it can cost nearly as much as getting a new monitor to fix this one.Anyways the monitor details. The monitor itself is really great, its very useful for multi-tasking, and great to show off when friends come over. Games that support this resolution are awesome, and you can get some crazy shots paired with a good computer. Some games don't support ultrawide, which leaves you with black boxes on either side of your monitor which kind of sucks. But you can always switch to Windowed or Borderless Windowed to combat this (or by a secondary smaller monitor above it).Covering the other details like brightness and sound quality. The monitor has built in menu which allows you to change a variety of things like I mentioned, as well as some cool RGB and display settings. Which I mean brightness for this monitor will never be too much of an issue, since games nowadays also usually have some brightness settings to either enhance or lower brightness. Sound is great, especially since the speakers are spaced apart, and allows for easy-pick-up for surround sound.Never used the stand, never will. Buy the $400 floating stand, I know its a bit pricey but so worth it. It'll help with looks, cable management, and more customization. If you choose not to, prepare to have a stand that takes up half your desk space. Its around 11" long for anyone wondering. Though I did use it before stand arrived, and it does prove to resist a lot of shake, and provides decent height adjustment, for its frustrating size. Also you don't know this until you go ultrawide, but the 49" screen takes up a lot of desk space. Even buying the Ikea countertop as your desk-top will leave barely enough room to fit a fish-tank pc case, and a Logitech True force steering wheel. Its nice that this is always on sale, but if I could go back, I would buy a 37" instead. I love this monitor but sometimes, it can be a bit too much. And also buy a secondary monitor if your CPU can support it. Nothings more annoying than moving your game over so you can see discord or socials. Having a secondary screen, even to have it there as an addition, will make a big difference. I have CRUA 24-inch Curved Gaming Monitor, there are probably better ones out there, but I actually prefer getting work done on that screen (I'm writing this review on it as well). One last thing, the charging cable is long enough, but the brick part of it is huge. I'm not sure if they include dimensions, but its 8.25"x3.8113"x1.5" LWD. It also gets pretty warm, so keep it away from carpet. And to combat finger grease marks and fingerprints use Screen Mom Screen Cleaner Spray and Microfiber Cloth, it works like a charm to clean both monitor and pc case glass. Hope this helps. I'll update with any changes from the service today.
