Safety trainers are essential footwear for professionals in various industries, including construction, warehousing, and healthcare. They provide necessary foot protection without sacrificing comfort, making them a popular choice among workers who spend long hours on their feet. In this review, we will analyze the key features of modern safety trainers, emphasizing those designed for both men and women.Key FeaturesComfort and Lightweight DesignOne of the standout features of today's safety trainers is their lightweight construction. Traditional safety shoes often had a reputation for being heavy and cumbersome, but modern designs prioritize mobility without compromising on safety. Many models include cushioning technology that supports prolonged wear, reducing foot fatigue and discomfort.Upgraded Swivel Buckle ShoelacesThe inclusion of upgraded swivel buckle shoelaces is an innovative feature that enhances the ease of wearing and adjusting the shoes. This design allows for a secure fit without the hassle of tying traditional laces, which can come undone during work.Non-Slip SolesSafety trainers often come equipped with non-slip soles, which are especially crucial for those working in environments prone to spills or slick surfaces. The right traction can prevent slips and falls, ensuring safety while working in potentially hazardous conditions.Air Cushion TechnologyMany modern safety trainers incorporate air cushion technology in their soles, which can greatly improve overall comfort and shock absorption. This feature is particularly beneficial for workers who walk or stand for extended periods, as it helps reduce strain on the feet and joints.Stylish AppearanceUnlike traditional safety shoes that often sacrifice style for safety features, contemporary safety trainers come in a variety of designs that appeal to both men and women. This allows workers to maintain a professional appearance without compromising on necessary safety standards.Pros and ConsPros:Comfortable for long hours: The lightweight design and cushioning make them suitable for all-day wear.Innovative features: Swivel buckle laces and non-slip soles enhance usability and safety.Stylish options available: A diverse range of designs means workers can look good while staying safe.Cons:Price Range: Some high-quality models can be on the pricier side, which may not fit every budget.Durability Concerns: Depending on the brand and materials used, some lightweight trainers may not be as durable as heavier alternatives.ConclusionSafety trainers represent a significant advancement in workplace footwear, combining essential safety features with comfort and style. 2 Weeks after heavy use honest review.
I have been pleasantly surprised on how actually decent they are, I have done a multitude of light and heavy work since I bought them a few weeks back now. I had fully intended to review them at this point expecting to admit the worst, but I was wrong. I have dug out a pond. Built a wall. Replaced the felt on a flat roof. Cut trees down, climbed up and down ladders and trees a hundred times. Rebuilt a cement mixer. Carried four dozen boulders and a multitude of other mixed light and heavy tasks. Easily done 10000 steps a day. They have held up really really well. Couple of loose threads here and there, but no other damage at all really. Even 2" thorns have not damaged the soles. Talking of which, I thought the soles would be rubbish as there's hardly any tread on them, but they're okay. I've not had any issue with slipping or grip that I've remembered.Even the easy lace up system has remained in tact and I have actually dropped a house brick and a boulder on my foot. The steel toe cap has been great and not dug into my foot at all.Overall I have to give them 5 stars based on comfort durability and the ability to surpass my expectations. If you're in doubt and want an honest opinion, as you can see from the pictures I've taken, they have worn really well despite the ferocity I've put them through. Definitely give them a go. A thumbs up from me.

Stylish and convenient
I’m size 9 and they’re a little snug after the breaking in period. Like all work shoes the first few days are a pain. If there was a half size such as 9.5 they would be great in terms of that.I heard that the wire system to strap them do break so I’ve left my somewhat loose and don’t bother it when I take them on or off and they’re fine.I do work in the rain and these are most certainly not water proof, you step in a puddle and your feet will get wet. You drop liquid on them and they will get wet also. However I didn’t see anything about them being waterproof anyway. The grip on these good, the way the sole looks doesn’t inspire much confidence but I haven’t slipped so far.Steel cap is prominent and I’m confident they will protect the TOES only. They are lightweight.Overall these are good and I choose these over other work shoes due to their style, if they were water proof they would have 5 stars. You can probably pick these up for cheaper on Temu, or shien but I’m more confident paying a premium and getting my item sooner through Amazon.

Definitely not a wide fitting shoe.
Definitely not a wide fitting shoe. Please see attached photos which have this Obider placed side by side for comparison. On the left of each photo are the shoes I am accustomed to wearing are indeed wide fitting. On the right in the photos are the Obider. All shoes are size 8 in these two comparisons.Obider scores 3 stars for the soles do have more bounce than the brands I usually wear. Buyers should be that workers using this Obider would not be allowed to work at sites where I am responsible for managing HSE performance because manufacturer does not claim any certificate for PPE standards for footwear e.g. EN 345, EN ISO 20345 etc. If an accident happens, an insurance company won't pay out siting the fact that footwear did not meet required standards. (A lot of people say Health & Safety gone mad whereas it is actually about accidents and no insurable claim afterwards.) I bought it with only intention of doing some woodwork around my shed at home, sanding and painting only and where the only risk of falling objects would be say, a tin of 2kg paint. Buyer beware as always.
