Limp screen slider - fixed
Updated reviewAfter posting the seller reached out to me to help solve my problems. The screen is 1280x720, there was a misprint on the images that actually only meant it supported 1080 playback and did not have a resolution posted. This has been corrected.CPU core count, they did not mention what is actually is but did say it is not listed in the ad, I could not find it and believe I may have had the core count info bleed into my memory from looking through a bunch of radios. After talking with the seller, we found a way to get the screen to stop drooping down. After this interaction, with being able to resolve the screen issue, I decided to keep the radio and keep using it.Thanks again for great support CS team!--------------------------------I bought this for my 01 sierra to get android auto primarily.Right out of the box, the display is either not 1920x1080 as claimed (looks like 1024x600, maybe 1280x720) or the operating system is not running full resolution. The main GUI has pixelated letters/words, and android auto is running a low resolution as well, everything is blurry instead of crisp. The pictures will make it look clearer than it is.Although not heavy in features, and laggy overall (main interface and in android auto) the best part about the unit is the super fast startup.Performance feels like this is an older 4 core radio though it claims 8 core.I had been willing to put the issues above aside and would deal with those, however the adjustable height screen will not stay up, I resorted to pushing some foam in the slider to try and keep it up (as you can tell, I would hit it with the shifter otherwise) however even that foam is starting to give up already and ultimately, I do not want to deal with having to keep adjusting the screen up every 4 or 5 shifts so I am going to be returning it and looking for another radioAudio quality is ok, I even replaced my speakers afterwards. I noticed there is a little bit of almost a crackle in the sound (not like speaker crackle but like when you hear something too loud that hurts your ears and all the sound you hear for a while gets a crackle sound).Android auto connects right up 90% of the time, which is way higher than most of the cheap radios I have used. This unit does not have a GPS antenna, atleast not externally, as far as I can tell it replies on your phone.

Excellent Car Stereo Upgrade – Great Display, Sound, and Support!
I recently installed the **PLZ 7" Wireless Double Din Car Stereo (MP-928W)** in my **Ford Expedition EL XLT**, and I have to say, I am extremely impressed with the performance and features of this unit!#### 📦 **Installation Experience**The installation process was straightforward, but like with any aftermarket stereo, it required some effort to wire everything properly. I used **heat shrink tubing and soldering** to ensure a strong, long-lasting connection. The included wiring harness worked well, though I did have a couple of **unused wires** that the instructions didn’t mention (notably the **Blue/White wire**). The **Violet/White wire** was for the backup camera, which I figured out later. For mounting, I used the **Metra Double Din Dash Kit**, but it didn’t quite fit perfectly. I had to **remove the top plastic trim from the stereo and modify the dash kit** by cutting the four end pieces that were preventing the unit from sitting flush. This wasn’t an issue with the stereo itself—just a compatibility quirk with my particular dash kit.I also added a **USB 3.0 port** by replacing an old, unused **cigarette lighter socket**, which allowed me to neatly connect the rear USB cable from the PLZ head unit.#### 🎵 **Sound Quality – A Huge Upgrade!**My Expedition has a **premium factory sound system with a 160W amp**, and I used the correct wiring harness to retain my amp and **RAP (Retained Accessory Power) system**. The sound output is **phenomenal**! Deep, rich bass, crisp highs, and a well-balanced midrange. It’s a significant improvement over the factory stereo, and **Bluetooth 5.3** provides seamless, high-quality streaming with zero lag.#### 🚗 **Performance & Features**✔ **Wireless CarPlay & Android Auto** – Works flawlessly! The connection is stable, and I haven’t experienced any drops or lag when using my phone.✔ **QLED Touchscreen** – The display is **bright, crisp, and responsive**. It looks premium and feels like a high-end infotainment system.✔ **Backup Camera Support** – I paired it with an **AHD 1080P wide-angle rear camera**, and the quality is great. Night vision works well too!✔ **Custom Boot Logo & Firmware Update** – I reached out to PLZ via **Facebook**, asking if I could get a **custom boot logo for my truck** and a software update. **They responded within hours** and sent me exactly what I needed. That’s **amazing customer service!**#### 🛠 **Final Thoughts**This stereo is an **absolute steal for the price**! It has **premium features, excellent sound, and responsive customer support.** The installation took some effort, but that’s expected when upgrading any vehicle’s audio system. **If you're looking for a high-quality, budget-friendly double-din stereo with CarPlay, Android Auto, and great sound – this is the one to get!**Would I buy this again? **Absolutely!**🔥 **Highly recommended!** 🔥

Actually quite decent
Pairing the “PLZ 7” stereo with my phone was quick and painless. Once connected, the signal stayed strong even when I was moving around the car. Calls came through clearly with almost no dropouts. Overall, it felt reliable for daily use. This unit slid right into my dashboard without any major gaps or wobbling. The brackets that came with the radio worked great with my double-din kit. I used it in my 2005 Honda Civic, and it looks like it was meant to be there. The frame feels solid and matches the look of my car’s interior. I had a Kenwood x595 before this,s and the audio feels pretty similar with my JBL speakers. With 240 watts of output, you can crank up the volume without distortion. Mids are clear, and highs stay crisp at higher levels. Bass is punchy as well. It is nice to have CarPlay and use it for my navigation instead of my phone. The QLED screen is bright enough to see in direct sunlight and never feels washed out. At night, I could dim it so it did not blind me on long drives. The color and contrast make the CarPlay interface look sharp. Apple CarPlay loads quickly once I get it all set up. Bluetooth audio streaming felt seamless when switching between phone and built-in apps. There is a tiny bit of latency, but that's to be expected when you buy a cheaper radio. Worth the money though if you're on a budget.
