Adjustable, sturdy but light and portable.
This review is for: "Gosky Tripod -Travel Portable Tripod for Spotting scopes, Binoculars, camcorders, or SLR Cameras..."I purchased this to provide a sturdy, full-height platform for a scope. Used it to see the recent beautiful conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn, and also for identifying birds at a considerable distance. One absolutely needs a tripod for using scopes, especially at higher magnifications. This tripod is extremely sturdy, highly and easily adjustable, but light and portable. Without a very sturdy tripod, that holds the scope in position, it would be impossible to see the planets and their moons. I was thrilled to be able to see Jupiter and its moons and Saturn and its rings! To be honest, the images were very smal but it was a thrill and joy to be able to clearly see something that is so far away. I also set the tripod up on quite an uneven surface but the differentially adjustable legs made this easily possible.I have not tried the tripod with anything but a telescope but I think it would work very well for a camera, camcorder, binoculars etc. I will try it on a camera and update this review if needed.

Hold up
Nice tripod, held my spotting scope well, good pan and tilt, nice and smooth then locks well. Now for the complaints, the screws that mount the head to the tripod were loose, almost falling out so look at those before you use it, also the quick attach is not very tight when latched in, I had a 20-60 spotting scope on it and needed some thin foam to take up the play. If you don't need to hold whatever you are looking through, it is rock solid, if you need to make adjustments, push buttons etc be prepared for the shakes to settle down.

Great tripod
The tripod is great but does not completely support the weightof my spotting scope. If I take my hands off the scope the frontof the scope starts to dip down. Not a big deal as long as you arenot excepting the scope to stay where it was set for long periodsof time.03/27/2020 - I've upgraded my rating to 5 stars! Having used the tripod for a while now I figured out how to tighten everything up so it is stable. I can set it up quickly and the scope stays put.

Great value
This is a great value for the price. Nice heavy duty small enough to travel with fits my scope perfectly all the parts work.

Used it for a hunting spotting scope to look out my sunroom to the field. It’s good quality and very sturdy.

Probably OK when comparing price to value
These comments are based on a limited amount of time spent with this tripod. Bottom line this is that this is not a great tripod but is probably OK given the price point. My impressions are that the tripod is a bit on the heavy side and the build quality is just OK. There are plastic clamps on the legs which don't seem that robust and fully deployed with a spotting scope on it the unit does tend to wiggle a bit. I did not have any problems getting everything locked down and have had no problems with the head drifting out of position as some have stated. Tracking is just OK but again probably appropriate given the price of this unit. Since I will only be using this on an occasional basis I am OK with the overall quality and functionality. However if you have a more demanding use case or want to use some kind of heavy optic on it you would probably be better off spending more money and getting a higher quality item. For an analogy compare what would be appropriate for the occasional home mechanic working on their own care versus a professional car mechanic who would demand much more from their tools.

Works great!
Works just as we hoped it would. You can adjust it every way so you can get the scope to focus where you want it to. Light enough and has a carrying case so you can carry around.
