happy with product
I have used chair to get in and out of bath for over a year .Was easy to put in and I have left in since got it as hard for me keep taking out.does the job but water does not cover all as chair takes up space but I like bath not shower to relax in and has back which drops down as it lowers .control rarely needs charging and takes ten mins or so to charge.it stops charging when fully charged. The price is much less than electric one would cost. And without this I would not be able to wash and have nice bath .I would recommend. You need a handle to fix on bath and step to get in bath as well .Not sure what max weight suitable for and some might need person to help them but I didnt.

This is very helpful as an aid to help someone to get up after a fall
I know it's meant to be used for entering and leaving a bath, but this is so useful for rescuing a fallen woman (my wife). She has stability problems and unfortunately has had many falls, which she cannot recover from alone. Helping her up has taken ages, as well as taking a toll on my back. I spotted an advert online for one of these to assist after falls, but it was about £600. This looks identical. We bought it back in February and within a week it had proved its worth. You just use it in reverse; if my wife falls, I fetch the seat - it's fairly lightweight but easily comes apart so you can carry both halves separately if needed. I place it on the floor next to her. Fully lowered, the seat is only about 6cm (2.5 inches) off the floor, which makes it relatively simple for my wife to shuffle onto it. Then use the handset to raise it and once fully raised, my wife can easily stand with my help. We went away recently for a short break and put it in the car, just in case. Thank goodness we did because we needed it three times. It doesn't take much room in the car. The handset recharges in under half an hour. On point to note is that when raised it's not totally stable like a chair, but I'm there to steady it anyway until my wife stands, so it's not an issue. Overall, this has been an absolute godsend, although not for the use intended.

Great for bathing and lifting after falls
This excellent product has been used almost daily by my mother in the bath with no problem, but also several times to get her up after a fall, she only needs to be lifted onto the lowered seat, and sometimes she can do this herself. For use after falls it helps to remove the side flaps (use a kitchen knife or box cutter to cut the thin plastic hinges), but once removed they cannot be put back.

An excellent Bath Riser.
This is a really good Bath riser that is easy to assemble and use, it has great suction but my advice is don't use the 6 suction pads only 4 as you will struggle to get it out of the bath after using it. It comes with a handset that houses the battery and is good for 3 uses between charges. The seat is covered and wipeable, and the riser mechanism is quiet and smooth. It has some weight but is manageable to get in and out of the bath, the one addition i would like to see is a low battery indicator on the handset so that you know when it needs charging as it will allow you to lower into a bath but if not enough charge left it will not rise after use, I generally charge it after 3 uses but an indicator light would be helpful.Overall a really good useful piece of equipment at a comparable price so I would recommend it.UPDATE .. sadly after working well the bath seat failed the back rest sheared off during normal use .. it has a 4 year warranty but this requires you to send a large bulky item back to the manufacturer at your own considerable expense to then be assessed by the people who make it as to whether it's the product or user fault .. based on the customer service emails I have received they are already stating it will not be a manufacturing fault but a user fault which it isn't.. it's not rocket science .. so there is no point sending it back as it is not an independent assessment and the cost of return is immense.. customer service is very very poor and I would not buy from them again .. very disappointed by the lack of help and unbiased support.
